Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
I tried 2x and off settings without signficant effect.
Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
@Poldi: describe your PC system - CPU? Graphics card? Driver version? Main and graphics memory size?

Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
In fact there's not much information available about the graphics chipset. I have an older Atom-netbook and the graphics performance is really low, only Heli-X v4 runs smooth enough to be usable there. I also have to choose a low detail helicopter model. Can you tell a bit more exactly what graphics chipset the 1051 has? Use e.g. GPU-Z (http://www.gpu-z.de/) or CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) to find out
Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
Thanks to Thomas, again.
Sorry for these awkward posts, trying hard to bring the needed information up.

Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
Hello poldi,
as already suspected, your graphics chipset's performance seems too low. I only found a german review, but like the GMA945 in my Atom netbook yours seems to be a chipset optimized for 2D -> smooth video playback. Try Heli-X v4 and see if performance is better. You may also try to run some 3D benchmark yourself. And please don't see it too negative - I have seen more than one notebook's graphics chip being destroyed by too much heat. With the Intel solution this surely won't happen.
Have success...

Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
Hello Thomas,
that is a pity. I surely did not purchase this tablet as a graphics gaming engine, however, I was thinking it would have enough umpf since it is an actual design...
I will go try for version 4. What am I missing with respect to version 6?
Thanks for all diagnosis,
Poldi

Re: Inacceptable Stick Movement Delay
Quite a difference I must admit. Smooth shadows are missing for example. v4 has different airports and different models (quite a lot!!). The thing that annoys most is not a Heli-X problem, though: small screen size of your notebook, as 11 inches is really small for simulation purposes (do you have an external monitor??).Poldi wrote:Hello Thomas,
