Controller configuration problem on Windows 7

Post by S-M »

Hello,

I have a notebook with Windows 7 Home Basic. Its a Russian localized version and this is a main problem (it can't be switched to English because of it is Home Basic edition).
I have a Spektrum DX6 receiver and ACE RC simulator USB adapter. It works fine with Heli-X 3 and 4 on Mac OS X and Windows XP Professional. But with russian Windows 7 (on my best computer) its unable to configure controller: the names of joystick axis is russian, see screenshot 1. When running Heli-X it can't get the names correctly, cyrillic letters becomes "?", see screenshot 2. In controller calibration dialog we see that axis names becomes only "X", "Y", "Z", "X", "Y", "Z", seems that cyrillic letters are dropped, see screenshot 3. And so its unable to select correct channels in configuration dialog because of some channels have the equal names, see screenshot 4.
Is any advice how to use Heli-X on this version of Windows?

Thanks,
Sergey

Screenshot 4.
Equal names of channels in select-list. When selecting second "Y", it selects first "Y"...

Hello

the only current solution (if you can't switch to english) is maybe to tell the computer, that your interface has also name with non english characters. I will work on a solution for the next revision.
