Houston we got a problem.
1) During activation of the program (V4.1) I got the warning of a Trojan file from AVAST antivirus (perhaps this topic has already been addressed in German language within the forum). I desregarded this warning as I believed I could be normal during this stage.
2) The program is very nice. However, when I decide to change the model (program running) the last model disapperars, the new model does not appears and the program freezes for a short while then closes. Relaunching the program I only get the statistics window for a short while then the program closes.
At this point, no way to restart the program and/or to connect to Internet. Work around : unistall the program, connect to internet (with program installed no way to connect), activate the program. The the loop starts again (when I want to change the context).
Many thanks.
Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
Re: Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
Hi,
Yes, Avast make wrong warnings. I tried to solve this issue with the Avast peple, but no success, unfortunately.
The other problems are strange. Might this due to the fact that Avast is still disturbing HELI-X?
When you load the heli, please look into the console window. What is there logged?

Re: Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
Hello Michael,
well, I managed to get the program running flawlessy. Not sure which one of the following actions helped out, but now I can change model, scenarios etc. and the program seems to work fine.
I did :
1) Unistalled Helix / Re-installed Helix demo
Internet worked again (I use an Internet key)
2) Installed last Java version from Internet
3)Switched off AVAST for a short while
4)Launched Helix demo and activated full version (no AVAST) - no strange messages this time (I feel that the process got through better)
5) Helix full version OK. Closed Internet connection and switched on AVAST
6) Reduced FPS to 60 (it was unlimited) - played around - everything looks good. Seems that AVAST does not disturb helix AFTER the activation, but DURING that process.
Only one issue remaining (perhaps some internal conflict) I need to investigate : when I exit Helix and connect my Internet key, this hardware is no longer recognized by the system and I cannot connect to Internet. Temporary work around : computer reset.
I have to check the effect of the procedure to exit Helix : sometimes I exit from the program using the pulldown menu on the left side, sometimes I just click on the "X" on the right top corner of the windows. Maybe this affects ...subsequent operations ? I'll let you know.
Marco
p.s. what/where is the console windows ?

Re: Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
Bad news. I thought to have solved the problems... but last night I turned on the PC (Windows XP SP3), I ran Heli-x, I got the windows with statistics (no way to click on the buttons) and then the program shut. Tried several times with same result. Same thing after resetting the PC. Most likely, unistalling ad re-installing the program may work out, but this is strange.
Re: Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
Problem continues. Heli-x shuts just after "Statistic" window.
Other findings :
100 % CPU usage when Heli-x is launched (but last time it was working I reduced FPD to 60).
I would like to attach the error log file I got at every run in the Heli-x directory, but neither .log, .txt, .doc and pdf extensions are allowed ...
What kind of extension is allowed for the attachments ?

Re: Help - Program closes and prevent Internet connection
... just copy the text of the console in the text part...
