bug? - controller rarely fully recognized from start

Post by nyc863 »

My USB interface, and associated configuration, is good -- yet when I start Heli-X, no data appears from the USB device.

To fix this, I don't actually do anything!!
I just quit and try again, several times. Sometimes I unplug the DX7 while Heli-X is starting then plug it in after the field appears.

Note: Heli-X does NOT say "no controller detected" unless I unplug the USB stick.
Everything almost seems like it should work but in controller config, bars are centered and no buttons can be tripped.

As I said, this happens when starting, but not after multiple attempts to restart, then suddenly - everything is ok!!

this USB controller / DX7 combination has been free of problems and used on windows without issue. And when Heli-X starts to see data, it works for as long as you want. Including un-plugging and plugging in the DX7 again.

It just seems to have a problem 4 times out of 5 during init.

No errors in console.
It starts, does not complain there is no controller connected, but no inputs change -- either X-Y or buttons.

so then I unplug USB, then re-plug, and re-start Heli-X, maybe a few times, then suddenly all is good.
