Camera configuration

Post by Murinos »

Good afternoon!
I have troubles configuring camera.
I want it to be soft (model mofing on a screen and not tied to the center, to feel the movement) and to have zoom. But with the configuration I have the plane just flies away from the screen. Please take a look at the screenshots I attached. The "model on the screen" parameter is at "center". If i make it high or higher - it gets even worse, i see only ground. Would appreciate help with configuring it.Thanks!

Let's go step by step.

First: Make sure that you dot select "Freeze View" in the View Menu

Now the camera should follow the model

Next reduce "Maximal Angular veocity

And increase the time constant

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried to do i, but still have problems. I made a video to show it, please check it. I've launched the program several times, to be sure the new config have applied, so there are several black periods between the sim launch.

But I wanted to have both soft camera and zoom, as stated in my first post. And If i enable auto zoom, plane just flies away from the screen, or the camera tilts to the ground after plane reaching some distance. :(

I did some testing, it has nothing to do with soft camera. It's auto zoom + model on the screen feature what's causing problems. To me it looks like a bug...

UPD: I've reinstalled Heli-X - same problem...
