Hover training perspective

Post by modemman »

Hi, I'm a total noob to helis and Heli-X, so sorry if this is something simple or something that has been explained already:

I came from other sims where training modes were not good and physics did not model real life behavior as good as Heli-X does (sorry other sims). I started using the Hover Training mode which is very helpful, but I have this annoying issue I don't know how to adjust:

When the heli comes very close to the camera, the view automatically resets and the heli is now positioned farther away. I don't like that, as it should be assumed that I shredded my face and crashed. It should be a crash, not a view reset.

Also, I would like to stand back and be able to view the rear part of the circle also, my heli never goes there.

I guess my question is how to make the Point Of View, or the camera position, or the pilot position (whatever you call it) a little back, so the heli can hover all over the circle (including the area closer to the pilot, my heli never goes there), and not reset the view.

Sorry for the long explanation, I hope I made it clear, and thank you in advance.

Not sure if that would do what you are looking for, but you can zoom in and out (in your case out).
Either adjust the view or easier assign a key to the zoom in/out to adjust quicker.

Hi,

the reset of the heli might be due to the safety zone. you can turn it off:
Configuration->Performance->No safte zone ...

Have fun

Yes, turning safety zone off is what I needed (and a bit of zoom out, thanks JS1).

Thank you Michael.
