Good evening
on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, 64bit, AMD Rizen CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with NVidia driver that works in Heli-x
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_282-8u282-b08-0ubuntu1~20.04-b08)
I fly Helix-9.1.2318, Registerd user
When I try to connect to a Multiplayer session (Join Session) "Heli-X9 Users", "Schorndorf" at the moment (2 pilots active), non private
I get the message
"Select your device"
IP: 127.0.1.1
after a while I get a response "Waiting too long for server"
What is going wrong?
Regards,
Yogi

Re: Ubuntu: "Waiting too long for server"
Do you need to get accepted on time?
There are no pilots now and I still get "waitng too long for server"
Edit:
I added my public IP adres and computer's hostname to /etc/hosts and get after selecting my IP address in de "device selection window"
"Can't create TCP client"

Re: Ubuntu: "Waiting too long for server"
Finally got it,
/etc/hosts
must contain your own local ip adres and computername
Voila! Multiplayer works perfectly on Ubuntu 20.4 as well!
@Michael, please update the documentation to reflect this for linux users. It is crucial and also so easy.
