If I can do something in heli-x... can I do it for real?
I've been flying since some months, I can do smooth curves and eights. In helix, I can pretty well do flips (left, right, back or front)... but with the real bird, I'm so scared to even thinking to try something like that, at the moment...
from your experience... if you can do in in heli-x.... can you do it for real?
until now, I find heli-x very similar to my real capacities (same errors in reality and heli-x, same correct moves).

Short answer: No, but...
If Reality was exactly like Heli-X, then yes you could exactly as you can in the Sim.
Now, Heli-X physics is reflecting reality pretty well for that part. Even the look of airports and models comes quite close if using HD and a good gfx card. Also you may use your real controller. For all that, it is very likely you find things very familiar in reality that you are confident with in the sim. I find especially training orientation, eye-hand coordination, muscle memory, reaction patterns, sensitivity etc. in the sim extremely helpful.
But, even if reflecting reality as good as possible, it is never exactly the same - and as you found out already, even you are not the same. being nervous, scared or just more cautious for me has a big effect that I don't have in the sim. Also in real a lot of small things are different: Sun blinding, different airports, other people distracting, sweat, other sound, crashes will cost real money etc. etc. Also, everyone has a slightly difrerent setup and configuration making the flight characteristics different.
So, having said that you may find trained stuff easier also in reality, they are most likely still more difficult and just feel quite different. But definately all training will help and make starting in reality much easier, quicker and cheaper...
