I notice you recommend a cable on your site for the Tx.
Does this cable work with a Spectrum DX8?

What is the best cable for the DX8 Transmitter?

DX7 and DX8 just fine here.

Is the cable you are suggesting the one suggested on this website - on the support page?
I clicked on that link and it showed a cable with a USB plug on one end and a round plug on the other.
USB is OK, but the round plug would not fit into the Spectrum TX.
The socket on the Spectrum DX8 TX is of a stereo Jack Plug or as a Phone Plug (in USA) or TRS(tip ring sleeve) type, probably 3.5mm
Can you point me to the website of the lead you are suggesting

Hi Thoraptor,

Yes I used the cable suggested on the website for JR Radios.
I bought my cable from (www.allerc.com) part # FSM002B GWS Simulator cable USB to JR.
this cable has a USB connector on one end and a 3.5 mm round mono (one black stripe) plug
on the other end.
ON a DX7 this plugs into the jack labeled D.C.S. and on the DX8 this plugs into the jack labeled Trainer.
This cable works on both my DX7 and my DX8.
I don't think a stereo plug will work (that plug would have two black stripes on it)
I have found that most things intended for JR radios will also work for Spektrum.

I happen to already have a GWFSM002 cable lying around. Is there any chance this could be used for a DX8 Tx? It isn't showing Tx inputs in Heli-X, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to get it to work. It has the mono plug. Thanks.
