Hello,

I don't get any error messages but the screen stays blank. I do hear engine noise and I can even crash... Very easy because I don't see anything...

Anybody any idea on how to solve this?

- Heli-X demo 1.1
- Linux Gentoo
- Nvidia video card
- disable VBO (otherwise I do get this error "no OpenGL buffer object appears to be bound to target")

did you use actual nvidia drivers?
The nvidia drivers are not open source and so I think they will not be included in your dristribution by default....
Take a look at: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Gentoo actually does include the propriatary drivers. I'm using version 180.51... The newest available.

I also tries to start the application through a VNC remote session. It did not help, it did also only show a blank screen and loading a flight did actually work including sounds.

Problem was that I selected the xorg-x11 drivers instead of nvidia. "eselect opengl set nvidia".

It now works again.
